The Church is the People of God. A central focus for the Leadership Roundtable is to promote the development of top quality human resource management in dioceses and parishes.
The theme for our Annual Meeting on June 28-29, 2007 focused on how to attract the best people to pastoral ministry in our parishes and dioceses, what conditions are required to retain them in ministry, and what provision is necessary to sustain their ongoing formation and career development.
Themes explored included recruitment, marketing, vocations, compensation, investment, mentoring, education and formation, and professional ethics. The conversation was informed by academic research, proven approaches from the worlds of business and nonprofits, and best practices from parishes and dioceses across the country.
